AMH (Anti-Müllerian hormone) is expressed in the adult ovary, particularly in developing follicles. Studies in mice suggest that AMH suppresses pre-antral follicle growth in-vitro and inhibits primordial follicle recruitment and FSH-stimulated antral follicle steroidogenesis.
